LIGHTWELD APP PRIVACY POLICY

This policy describes what information the LightWELD app collects and how that information is used by us (IPG Photonics). By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of this information in accordance with this policy.

Personal Information

The app may ask you to provide personally identifiable information, including:

• Email address
• Full name
• Phone number

Diagnostic Information

The app may automatically collect data about how you use it. This may include:

• Your mobile device IP address.
• The type of mobile device you use.
• Which LightWELD units you have connected to.
• The times and dates at which you have used the app.

How this Information is Used

IPG may use the information collected by the app for the following purposes:

• To maintain the app, including to monitor the usage of the app.
• To authenticate you as a user, allowing you to securely login to the app.
• To associate your app login with an existing relationship, in the event that you are already in contact with IPG.
• To contact you via email or (as a last resort) phone to offer technical support or to inform you about updates to the app and to the LightWELD.
• To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods and services which we offer that may be relevant to you.
• To enforce legal agreements and policies, including the app Terms of Service.

IPG will not share personal information collected through the app with third parties, except at the request of the user or when required by law.

Security

IPG will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is transmitted and stored securely, in accordance with established industry standards and practices.

Retention

IPG will retain Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. You may delete your personal information from our records by deleting your account in the app.

IPG will retain Diagnostic Information indefinitely for internal analysis purposes.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page. We will notify you of any changes via email and/or a prominent notice in the app, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
